2 Secret Methods for Easy Weight Loss

Anybody who has been struggling to lose weight will testify that burning fat is anything but easy. After a week of slogging it out at the gym, they may lose half a pound. It can be very disappointing.

This article will give you 2 secret methods that will help you to lose weight without too much torture. Of course, you will need to do the harder workouts and watch your diet too but these 2 methods will help you lose more weight.
Secret 1 – Go for a 30 minute brisk walk every morning when you wake
In the morning when you just wake up, your stomach is empty and your body’s glycogen levels are low. When you engage in cardio activity in this fasted state, your body immediately starts burning your fat as a source of fuel.
At any other time, your body will burn the food that you ate for energy.  So, by walking on an empty stomach, you will burn the fat immediately.
The secret here is to walk at a moderate pace. It has to be brisk but not too fast. You should be able to hold a conversation and not be panting. At the same time, your brisk walk should raise your heart rate.
Do this daily for 2 weeks and you should see your weight dropping. It goes without saying that your diet must be sensible.
Secret 2 – The power of intermittent fasting
This technique is not talked about much because many people are not even aware of it. In a day there are 24 hours but you will only eat during an 8 hour window.
First, you will need to calculate your calorie requirements for the day. You can do this by visiting this website http://www.freedieting.com/tools/calorie_calculator.htm
Check and see how many calories you need to consume to achieve fat loss. Once you have that number, you will know exactly how much you should be eating.
Now, assuming you wake up at 7am, you will want to start eating as late as possible. Contrary to popular belief, breakfast is not the most important meal of the day.
I understand that this may be a shocker but if you will give this method a try, the results will speak for themselves.
Back to the example, if you wake up at 7am, you may wish to have your first meal at 11am. From the time you start your first meal, you have an 8 hour eating window. That means, you should have your final meal for the day by 7pm(eight hours later).
Within this 8 hour window, you must consume all your required calories for the day. This would be the number you got earlier.
So, you will still be getting all your nutrition and calories for the day but you can only eat within the 8 hour window. What this does is that it gives your body 16 hours to digest the food and burn fat during this time.
In the beginning, getting used to this way of eating may be difficult and inconvenient. However, once you figure out the arrangements and get used to eating in this manner, you will be stunned by how fast you shed the pounds.

This is one of the most powerful and effective methods of losing weight. Give it a try and you will be pleasantly surprised. weight loss enigma

Can You Target Certain Body Parts for Weight Loss?

The question: Can you target specific body parts (say, stomach pooch) while losing weight? And if so, how do you do it?

The expert: James O. Hill, Ph.D., executive director of the Anschutz Health and Wellness Center at the University of Colorado and author of State of Slim
The answer: Sadly, you can't decide you want to drop pounds around just your waist or create a gap between your thighs. "Lots of studies have looked at that, and you can’t target loss of fat from specific places," says Hill. In general, when women put on weight it's mostly in their hips and lower body—whereas men tend to accumulate excess poundage on their upper body. "It comes off in different places, too," says Hill. Where you lose weight depends on where your body stores fat and also likely on genetics.
What to do if you're trying to lose belly or thigh fat? Focus on dropping pounds in general—not just in one spot. "The more weight you lose, the more you’re likely going to lose it from the specific place you want," says Hill. Exercising is also key: While it won't help you spot reduce, it will help you lose more fat and less muscle—which will help your trouble spot look as lean and toned as possible.

“Why Can't I Lose Weight?!”

The question: “I’ve Been Dieting and Exercising—So Why Haven’t I Lost Weight?”
SHUTTERSTOCK

The expert: Lisa Young, Ph.D., R.D., author of The Portion Teller Plan
The answer: Most likely, you’re overestimating how much you’re dieting and exercising. “Generally speaking, when people are dieting and exercising but not seeing results, it’s because they think they’re being more virtuous than they really are—and over-rewarding themselves as a result,” says Young.
Let’s start with your diet. “Many people eat bigger portion sizes than they think, and they also forget to take mindless grazing into account—both of which put them over their estimated calorie limit,” says Young. Her suggestion? Keep a food diary, either on paper or with an app. Documenting and therefore noticing every last morsel of food that you take in throughout the day will help you keep yourself accountable (and remind you that yes, food still has calories even if you eat it while standing up over the sink).
Your exercise routine could be equally misleading for two reasons. The first? You're not working out as much as you think you are. Ask yourself: When you go to the gym, are you spending the whole time on the machines? Or, when you really stop to think about it, are you spending a hefty chunk of time thinking about getting on the elliptical, choosing which magazine to read, chatting with your friends on the mats, etc. If you’re guilty of one (or all) of the above, consider investing in a pedometer so you have documented evidence about how much you’re actually exercising, says Young.
The last reason you could be at a weight-loss standstill is that you’re repeating the same workout routine over and over again. “Your body will reach a plateau if you do that, and you’re not going to see results,” says Young—so it’s really important to vary it up. Strength training is also clutch. “It helps increase lean body mass so you’re more likely to reach your weight-loss goals.

The Importance of Self Esteem for Successful Weight Loss

THE CONNECTION BETWEEN LOW SELF ESTEEM & SUCCESSFUL WEIGHT LOSS: If you struggle with low self esteem or low self confidence, and are overweight, you could well be forgiven for thinking that losing weight will solve all your problems and you will feel happier about yourself and life in general... But what if I told you in actual fact, the TRUTH IS MOST LIKELY THE OTHER WAY AROUND... if you work on your self esteem, your weight loss is more likely to be successful and permanent.

10 Reasons why having Low Self Esteem could reduce your chances of successfully losing weight:
  1. Healthy self esteem enables you to believe in yourself and your ability to succeed even during plateau's
  2. Experts say that people with low self esteem tend to eat more
  3. Happy confident people tend to be naturally busier meaning more energy (calories) are burned just through everyday living, plus when you are busy and engaged in life, you tend not to think so much about food and have less time to pick or snack through boredom
  4. Low self esteem is often accompanied by a lack of motivation, lack of energy and a lack of desire to do any exercise for a number of reasons. It may be they worry how they will look, what people will think, it's too hard, or they really don't enjoy it.
  5. People with low self esteem can often be less active. The physiological make up of our bodies is such that energy creates energy, the less energy spent leads to having less energy, the more energy spent leads to having more energy
  6. People with higher self esteem tend to focus better and plan better, both essential for successful weight loss
  7. Research has proven those with higher self esteem are far more likely to succeed than people who don't
  8. People with low self esteem are less likely to have busy social lives, which means they have less going on leading potentially to loneliness and boredom, both of which factor very high on the list of why people eat more than they need
  9. People with low self esteem can easily lean toward a more negative outlook on things
    • They don't even attempt to start because they don't truly believe they will succeed
    • If they have a 'bad' day, they may feel they have proved themselves right so what's the point in trying and so give up
    • They are easily downhearted and can tend to give up if the scales don't drop when they feel they have been 'good' (but this can be for a number of reasons and doesn't necessarily mean no progress has been made)
  10. People with higher self esteem usually have a more positive outlook on things
    • They make sure they are prepared and organised before embarking on a weight loss goal, increasing their chances of success
    • They have a higher level of determination to succeed
    • If they have a 'bad' day they accept that sometimes this happens, forgive themselves and continue with their plan making any adjustments that might help prevent this happening again
    • If things don't seem to be working (ie the scales haven't moved even though they have been 'good') they look into why, ask for help or try a different approach.
So whilst it is true that weight loss can indeed greatly improve self esteem and self confidence, it is worth realising, if you do struggle with low self esteem, not only could it potentially prevent you from succeeding, but it could also result in the weight being put back on if any underlying causes have not changed.
If you think you may have a low self esteem, and have struggled to lose weight, even though you truly believe it would improve your confidence and self esteem, maybe it is worth working on your self esteem either before you embark on a weight loss goal, or at the same time.
Foundations Weight Loss, Fitness and Confidence programme does just that. It provides you with all the information and tools you need, to gain a complete understanding of how you, as an individual, can lose the weight you want to, in a way that suits you, your personality, your lifestyle and your individual preferences for food and exercise ensuring your chances of success are as high as possible, not only of losing weight, but of staying at your desired weight permanently!
Research has proven that successful weight loss, fitness, health and confidence can be significantly improved through Coaching.
Compared with alternative methods, the powerful way that coaching works with you as an individual, on every aspect of your mental and physical approach to confidence, fitness and weight loss brings about significant and permanent changes.

Combine a Healthy Weight Loss Diet With a New Lifestyle

Starting a new lifestyle is the best reason for a healthy weight loss diet. Health risks that are associated with overweight is something we all want to avoid. The signs of your health do not surface so easy with being overweight. From an emotional need for foods or compelled by an addiction to certain ones, bad eating habits can haunt you. Changing your lifestyle will improve your ability to succeed using a healthy weight loss diet.

Start a New Lifestyle
You will have to overlook your previous attempts to lose weight when you find that right diet plan. Dieting alone can make that extra weight disappear in time, but adding exercises will increase your ability to lose weight that much faster. If you are overweight you will need to begin a positive lifestyle to help lose weight. Altering your way of life can have its rewarding outcomes, when you are considering a healthy weight loss diet.
Parking your car farther away or taking the stairs when you can, will add just that much more physical activity to your day while you are trying to lose weight. Learning a new way to keep fit is a great way to start the body moving. With the body in motion, you will be able to burn calories so you can lose that extra weight. Staying active is a great way to keep your mind off food and lose weight at the same time.
Start an Exercise Routine
When starting a healthy weight loss diet you need to add physical fitness into your daily routine in order to reach the stunning results that many dieters are hoping to achieve. Starting cardio exercises can be one of the best things you do for your health. To list the different types of cardio exercises is almost impossible, but here are some ideas you could use, swimming, running, gardening, a physical sport or just pick an active hobby you enjoy.
Stay With It
Ending your diet too soon can be unfavorable to your goals of weight loss. You do not want to fall into a trap of improvement, to frustration and then quitting before you reach your goals, just because you are not losing enough weight as quickly as you had hoped. You could be excited or discouraged using your scales while dieting. If you weigh yourself everyday in hopes of seeing another pound disappear you could be dooming yourself to failure.
It comes down to a healthy weight loss diet alone will not reduce your weight significantly. You can change your lifestyle and add some type of exercises which will help you lose those ugly pounds.
Good Luck!

Happy New Year! Time for a New You

The new year means it is time for a new you! There are 5 easy things that you can do to transform yourself this year. We will explore each of these and how you can easily incorporate these into your life.

The first step is to write down your goals. What are you looking to achieve? Do you want to lose 5kg by February or are you wanting to increase muscle mass to compete in a body building competition in April? Once you work out exactly what you want to do you will have a better idea of what steps you need to take. Be specific when you are setting goals, as this will ensure that the results you see will be exactly what you want. Also be true to yourself when setting your goals, there is no point setting a goal if it isn't EXACTLY what you want to achieve, as you will have no will-power, drive or desire to go after it. Don't set a half hearted goal and expect yourself to achieve it. Be honest with yourself and set a goal that means something to you.

Once you have your goals set out, you need to work on your diet. Depending on what your goals are, will influence your diet. Clean out the cupboards of all the rubbish and go for a big shop. The biggest hint I can give you when it comes to grocery shopping, is mainly stick to the outside of the store and buy fresh produce. Minimise products that come in packaging and buy organic where you can. To keep your metabolism firing eat six small meals per day and work on portion control. For protein and carbohydrates in main meals keep the portion size to no bigger than the palm of your hand (or size of your fist). Do not starve yourself, this is counter intuitive, you can actually eat more and lose weight if you time your meals correctly and eat fresh produce.

Once you have worked out your diet, you then need to sort out your workout routine. It is imperative that you have worked out your goals to ensure that your training will get you to achieve those goals. A mix of aerobic, strength and flexibility training will suit most people's goals. Also take into account what your interests are when working out how you will workout, as there is no point doing exercise that does not interest you as you will not stay motivated.

The fourth step, and probably most enjoyable, is to figure out your rewards! You need to figure out how you will reward yourself for achieving your goals, will you buy yourself something you have wanted for awhile, will you go on a holiday? The choice is yours. Rewards will help keep you on track when you feel like giving up, as you have something to look forward to once the goal is achieved. Don't cheat and do it anyway, even if the goal isn't achieved, stay on track and keep fighting to reach your goal, you will feel better and more accomplished if you do.

Finally, you don't have to do it alone! A trainer and support network is key and crucial to your success. When you feel off track, you need someone who can lift you up and get you back on track. When you feel de-motivated, you need someone to re-motivate you. It can be difficult to do it on your own! Getting a trainer or joining a fitness community could be the ultimate difference between your success or failure. Your goals are worth a small investment to ensure that you reach them!

Remember: before undertaking any new fitness regime that you seek advice from your GP or Medical Doctor before commencing. If you do seek out a trainer, they will be able to assist you in seeking out appropriate allied health professionals to assist you toward your goals.

Hope these tips help you transform yourself in 2014, let's make it your year!

How Can You Lose Belly Fat Naturally?

If you want lose belly fat naturally it is really quite simple. Eat less and burn more calories. But is it really that simple? If it was, why would there be a multi-billion dollar industry trying to help people lose weight?

Step 1: To lose belly fat naturally eat a low-calorie, low-fat diet.

Eating a low-calorie, low-fat diet is the best way to lose belly fat. There is not an ideal diet that works everyone and diets don't work very well for many people. Making small changes to how and what you eat each day will lead to more success, even if the weight loss takes a little longer.

Some people find the first few days of dieting to be quite difficult, so you need to create a solution to make it easier for you. As a starting point, one of the things that you can do is to make sure that your refrigerator only contains the healthy foods that you can eat and that you like. Also, avoid eating processed foods as much as possible. Eat fruits and vegetables as your main source of carbohydrates and eat moderate amounts of high quality protein at each meal.

Step 2: To lose belly fat naturally you need to exercise regularly.

There is no point in trying to do exercises that you do not like or find too difficult. Exercise is one of the best ways to lose fat but the problem many people face is that they feel they don't have the time for exercise. Not everyone may have time to get to the gym every day, but there are many things you can do at home. Your exercise routine can easily be combined with other activities you enjoy and make time for, like watching TV.

It takes time to condition your body, find the activities you enjoy and figure out what fits best into your lifestyle. Allow yourself the time to try different activities, schedules and frequencies so that you can find what will work for you in the long-term, not just a few days or weeks. A basic exercise routine should include cardio, strength training and flexibility exercises to help you burn calories, build muscle and keep your connective tissue flexible.

Step 3: You need to change your lifestyle to lose belly fat naturally.

One of the most important elements to get a flatter stomach is that it has to be become part of your lifestyle if it is ever going to work long-term. It does not mean that mean can't ever have your favourite foods. You just have to carefully plan treats into your diet. Sometimes having a small treat each day, like a piece of chocolate or a handful of chips, can keep you satisfied and helps with the healthy options the rest of the time.

The best way to lose belly fat permanently is to make your health and fitness a priority in your life, and you must enjoy it whether it's because you actually enjoy the actual exercise and healthy eating, or because you enjoy the feeling of strength or energy or confidence that it gives you.

Losing weight and getting fit does not have to be difficult. For the best nutritional tips, the most proven exercise programs, fitness motivation and the whole recipe for fat loss with safe, natural and proven methods please click here.

7 BRILLIANT TIPS TO TONE YOUR TUSH

Want some tips to tone your tush? Then look no further because as your trusted trainer, I have plenty of tips for you. For those of you who are wondering what a tush it, it is a juvenile name for your butt. Your butt is separated into 3 muscle groups - the gluteus maximus, medius and minimus. Here are my tips to tone your tush:

1. SQUAT HOLD

The squat is the ultimate exercise to target your tush. All 3 muscle groups of your tush get targeted when performing a squat, so this is the ultimate tush toning exercise for this reason. To perform a squat, stand with your weight on your heels and lower your body into a seated position. Bring your legs down to 90 degrees, creating a virtual chair. Hold for 60 seconds and then stand back up. Start out with 1 minute squat hold and build up to 5 minutes. Performing a squat hold tops my tips to tone your tush since it targets all the muscles in your butt (aka glutes).

2. LUNGE

Lunges are an ultra-effective exercise in targeting your legs and tush. To perform a lunge drop one leg down to a 90 degree position and then raise back up. Alternate each leg. Start out with one set of 18 for each leg and build up to 3 sets of 18 as your progress and become stronger. The best thing about lunges is they will always challenge you and give you that amazing feeling of muscle soreness the next day. Be sore or be sorry you did not do your lunges.

3. SQUEEZE YOUR CHEEKS

Just like working any muscle group, tightening the muscles and holding them will strengthen and tone. Tighten your tush by squeezing your cheeks tight and tensing the muscles for 10 seconds. This will teach these muscles to stay engaged. Perform 3 sets of 10 second holds to sculpt and tone your tush.

4. RUNNING

There is a reason that most runners have great butts, because running targets your tush. When you run you will sculpt and lean your tush down. You need not worry, you will not lose your tush from running weight loss if you refuel with healthy food. Running will tighten and tone as a result of the miles you pound on the pavement.

5. REVERSE KICKS

Reverse kicks target the hamstrings, tush and core. To perform reverse kicks, lean forward and isolate each leg by kicking backwards, 10 for each side. Build up to 3 sets of 10 to create a toned and tightened tush!

6. LYING BUTT LIFT

Lying butt lifts are an effective exercise to target legs and your tush. To perform this exercise, lie on your back and lift your butt into the air, thrusting your hips, and hold for 20 seconds. Build up to 3 sets. This exercise looks similar to a pelvic thrust and although this may seem easy while you are doing it, you will feel this later!

7. SINGLE LEG SQUAT

As I mentioned, squats are an effective exercise targeting the tush but switch it up by lifting one leg out when you are in a squat and hold 10 seconds. Alternate to the other leg. To gain optimal tush toning results, work your way up to 3 sets for each leg.
Hope you have enjoyed all my exercises to tone your tush. Look and feel great with your tight tush and never have your jeans slouch on your tush again with these exercises. How do you work your rear?

How to Get a Flatter Tummy Almost Instantly

Sure, eating three helpings of pie won’t do your waistline any favors—but neither will eating three helpings of broccoli. Here’s why: Certain foods are known bloat offenders, which means they’ll increase puffiness and make you appear heavier than you are, says Stephanie Middleberg, R.D., of Stephanie Middleberg Nutrition in New York City. These are the four food items to watch out for the most:

Cruciferous Vegetables
Broccoli, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, kale—this season’s trendiest greens are also the biggest stomach puffers, thanks to their high fiber content. Enjoy a small serving since they’re so healthy and filling—but stop after that, particularly if you’re trying to fit into a tiny holiday party dress later.
Salty Processed Products
A handful of chips, a serving of canned soup, cold cuts…if you got it from a bag or a box, it’s probably loaded with salt, which causes you to retain water and resemble a blowfish. Steer clear of these offenders as much as possible so as not to exacerbate bloating.
Soda
Those bubbles that make soda so refreshing? When you swallow them, you’re basically swallowing air, which finds its way to your stomach and abs and causes temporary muffin top. Stick with water to avoid developing a food baby (or should we be calling it a soda baby?).
Artificial Sweeteners and Diet Foods
Generally speaking, your body doesn’t agree with fake food products—and these in particular can leave you feeling gassy and puffy. Problem foods and ingredients include sugar-free gum, sucralose, aspartame, frozen yogurt, and any product that has lots of unrecognizable items on its label. Indulge in the real stuff—it tastes better, and so long as you consume it in moderation (and as part of a healthy diet), it shouldn’t affect your waistline.
