Changing your lifestyle will improve your ability to succeed using a healthy weight loss diet.

Start a New Lifestyle
You will have to overlook your previous attempts to lose weight when you find that right diet plan. Dieting alone can make that extra weight disappear in time, but adding exercises will increase your ability to lose weight that much faster. If you are overweight you will need to begin a positive lifestyle to help lose weight. Altering your way of life can have its rewarding outcomes, when you are considering a healthy weight loss diet.
Parking your car farther away or taking the stairs when you can, will add just that much more physical activity to your day while you are trying to lose weight. Happy New Year! Time for a New You

The new year means it is time for a new you! There are 5 easy things that you can do to transform yourself this year. We will explore each of these and how you can easily incorporate these into your life.

The first step is to write down your goals. What are you looking to achieve? Do you want to lose 5kg by February or are you wanting to increase muscle mass to compete in a body building competition in April? Once you work out exactly what you want to do you will have a better idea of what steps you need to take. Be specific when you are setting goals, as this will ensure that the results you see will be exactly what you want. Also be true to yourself when setting your goals, there is no point setting a goal if it isn't EXACTLY what you want to achieve, as you will have no will-power, drive or desire to go after it. Don't set a half hearted goal and expect yourself to achieve it. Be honest with yourself and set a goal that means something to you.

Once you have your goals set out, you need to work on your diet. Depending on what your goals are, will influence your diet. Clean out the cupboards of all the rubbish and go for a big shop. The biggest hint I can give you when it comes to grocery shopping, is mainly stick to the outside of the store and buy fresh produce. Minimise products that come in packaging and buy organic where you can. To keep your metabolism firing eat six small meals per day and work on portion control. For protein and carbohydrates in main meals keep the portion size to no bigger than the palm of your hand (or size of your fist). Do not starve yourself, this is counter intuitive, you can actually eat more and lose weight if you time your meals correctly and eat fresh produce.

Once you have worked out your diet, you then need to sort out your workout routine. It is imperative that you have worked out your goals to ensure that your training will get you to achieve those goals. A mix of aerobic, strength and flexibility training will suit most people's goals. Also take into account what your interests are when working out how you will workout, as there is no point doing exercise that does not interest you as you will not stay motivated.

The fourth step, and probably most enjoyable, is to figure out your rewards! You need to figure out how you will reward yourself for achieving your goals, will you buy yourself something you have wanted for awhile, will you go on a holiday? The choice is yours. Rewards will help keep you on track when you feel like giving up, as you have something to look forward to once the goal is achieved. Don't cheat and do it anyway, even if the goal isn't achieved, stay on track and keep fighting to reach your goal, you will feel better and more accomplished if you do.

Finally, you don't have to do it alone! A trainer and support network is key and crucial to your success. When you feel off track, you need someone who can lift you up and get you back on track. When you feel de-motivated, you need someone to re-motivate you. It can be difficult to do it on your own! Getting a trainer or joining a fitness community could be the ultimate difference between your success or failure. Your goals are worth a small investment to ensure that you reach them!

Remember: before undertaking any new fitness regime that you seek advice from your GP or Medical Doctor before commencing. If you do seek out a trainer, they will be able to assist you in seeking out appropriate allied health professionals to assist you toward your goals.

Hope these tips help you transform yourself in 2014, let's make it your year!
